Analysis of Early Childhood Governance Efforts

As states are expanding their services to young children, much confusion exists regarding the governance of early childhood programs. This new study identifies options for governance that are available in various states. A review of the fifty states' governance strategies will be undertaken, followed by case studies of noteworthy approaches. It is expected that the results of this study will be helpful to state policy makers as they consider various strategies to link the governance of early childhood programs at the state and local level.
